Low Oil Pressue
Gentlemen,
As I was driving to work this morning, I got a warning of "Low Oil Pressure" and the guage (stock) had fallen to the "L". IIRC, if it was actually low the truck would not run correct? Is it a possible sensor? The truck still runs fine without issue.
Cheers,

The oil pressure gauge is really an oil pressure switch that registers once it senses 7 psi. Basically to keep soccer moms happy.
And correct, the engine won't run without oil pressure, unlike a normal gas motor that would run until it seized without oil pressure.
To check the sensor, remove the connector and ground to the block, the gauge should peg full. If it does the switch is most likely bad.

Single wire connector in the oil cooler cover, between the oil filter houseing and the turbo.
