My AC blows cold but the fan has no zip. My wife's new car will blow you out of the seat. Intake is clear. Is a new fan hard to put in? Where is it? thanks......

Before we can offer advice on your fan we need to know what year of truck you have?
Truck is a 99 F-150 supercab with 94,500. Truck has Vortec V1
and some other after market goodies. Truck runs great, the AC is cold, but the air never did blow real well. Wife's new care, sorry it's a Chevy, blows twice as good as mine ever did. Is there a better fan on the market? Could I take the old one in and have it rewired to perform better. The best truck in the world is no good in Phoenix if the air doesn't work well...............
You might want to check the evaporator core for clogged
fins. I use my truck for work and I have to clean the coils about every other year. I remove the blower motor and spray
the coils with residential A/C coil coil cleaner. It works great. You might have to modify a pump up sprayer nozzle
for the job.
Just had same problem, turns out the leads were wired wrong, orange goes to black and brown goes to orange, go figure, siemens, made in Mexico, seems like motor runs in reverse and a little air blows out vent when wired backward but not near what supposed to, after changing wires runs like a charm with full blower power.
I just bought a 99 SD 7.3PS with the same problem--especially on max AC. Took it to two shops. Both said everything was fine, but I wasn't satisfied. Finally I decided to try to look into it myself. There was a Wal-mart sack sucked into the recirc air intake. To check for such a blockage, crawl under the dash on the passenger side and inspect it with a bright light. The air intake is right againts the outside wall of the truck. It is quite a way off the floor. High enough that you would never notice it vacuuming or detailing etc. Cured my problem. Wal Mart bags!
