I found that part number on a few places now and the next question i was going to ask was . Will it fit the 73 f-100 and i see you have that answer for me , it's different. So i guess i need to take another look under it to see if i can find some mounting holes. Thanks for the information , JIM.
Hey Jim,
'Forget the early setup. The later version, as Canty is installing, is waaay better because it connects the radius arms/spindles relative to the frame. The early version only connects between the radius arms and floats in mid-air. If you have ever notices on some header applications that it will not fit Camper Specials with a front swaybar because they occupy the same space.
Canty, the steel radius arms' concave faces point outwards ala:
And a correction on my part, the notched radius arms only have one notch.
__Well I never meant to hijack this thread as much as I did ,but I guess there was good information here for others in the future. A big thanks to 'Canty, HIO SILVER , Number Dummy , and Mikeo0o0o0 , for their help. Since I have the later bar I'm going to get the brackets for it. I don't have the early bar and really don't see how it would do much good . Thanks to all . JIM__
Thanks HiO for the pictures. Jim, no apologies needed for the hijack...I am sure we all learned something. Thanks to Dummy and Mike for those pictures.
I have had the early "U" shaped bar on my 68 since 74 as well as the rear from a 250 CS, I had to mount the rear one under the banjo because of the shock location. Needless to say anything is better than no sway bar. I could not believe the difference! The front also does clear the 460 truck headers.
I am not going to need the front one because I am getting ready to add a CV clip. Make me an offer . Kenny
