Hey guys yesterday I dropped off an engine stand to a buddy of mine and when he went to open my tailgate the drivers side "hinge" if you will came off. It's the little C or U type piece that pivots the tailgate.

My question is there an easy fix for this? Can I weld it back in place or bolt it back in?

 

came off the tailgate, or the body?
body side is bolted on and replaceable. tailgate side is spot welded on.

 

The body the tailgate is in one piece. I'll have to look at it a bit more. Any idea what kinda bolt is needed?

 

Well I just looked at it and it is the circle piece of the tailgate. So all I need to do is re weld it??

They are original spot welded on. You can either weld it bad on or use body adhesive

 

Might be a silly question but whats a good body adhesive to use? How hard is it to apply it? I have a small flux wire welder i could try to tack it back on but if thats not big enough to do the job I could take it to a buddys shop who has acess to better welding gear
