Well yeah, get some flare wrenches and have at it. Bleed the brake system afterwards.

EZ.

If you have to ask, take it to a qualified repair facility. You life and those of everyone on the road with you depends on brake work being done properly.

X2 with both thee guys! Really..get the flare nut wrenches..find the line to be replaced or fixed..take it up to an auto store to get the right kind/size then make your repair. Bleed the system of any air and replace the brake fluid.

If your going to attempt this repair job then you should really think about replacing all 3 hoses as they dry out a crack with age just waiting to bust under a heavy foot if you need to lock up all 4 wheels in a panicky stop.. my 2cents. These rubber hose all have a fork type tab clip that has to be removed on the end where it connects to the hard line. PS this job maybe be over your head with out a helper that know more about then you. my 2cents. But do your home work if your going to try this as bleeding the air out of the system can be trouble some not knowing or with out a helper.. orich

agree replace all 4 , if one is gone others are almost there too .
make sure to use wd40 (KROIL) on the metal line to rubber line and at wheel cylinders as they are normally rusted in place .

The rear only uses one rubber line from frame rail to the driver side axle housing. From there 2 hard lines go to the wheel cylinders.

There are 3 flexible rubber brake hoses, right and left front and one at the rear.

C8TZ-2282-C (replaced C6TZ-2282-C) .. Rear Flexible Rubber Brake Hose-18 5/8" long / Obsolete ~ 4 available NOS

This hose has a brass block made as part of it w/a hole in it. The rear axle vent passes thru the hole, threads into the axle tube.

Applications: 1966/72 F100 2WD
--------------------------------
2) C5TZ-2078-A .. Right & Left Front Flexible Rubber Brake Hoses-approx. 17 3/4" long / Obsolete ~ 34 available NOS

Applications: 1965/71 F100/250 2WD / 1967/71 F350.

Note: Autoparts store replacement front rubber hoses may not fit correctly.

Get new rubber brake hoses from your local part house. The metal lines can be bought in varied lengths and sizes from the parts house.
Be sure to get the proper diameter and thread to match your truck.
If you have never bent a brake line before I recommend getting the bending tool so you don't kink the metal lines.
If you have never bled brakes then I recommend offering a friend with more experience some cold drinks to give you hand.

Napa/riebes has the flex hoses. Be very careful. Metal lines are prob super weak. You dont want to kink them. Trust me, we did and had to replace the rigid brake lines also.
