Reinstall 5.4L hints
After a very long removal and tear down process I'm ready to put the 5.4L back in place. It was a bear to hoist it into the compartment - even with the radiator, fan, manifold removed. I have the engine on a tilt bar lifter to adjust angle and the engine is down in the compartment but am having a hard time lining up the trans and engine. Any hints on angle of approach to get this in a bit easier?

At your local hardware store get either threaded rod or smooth rod that will fit into the engine to tranny bolt holes. Insert the rods into both the engine and tranny holes to help with the alignment as you bring the two closer together.

Thanks for the advice. I keep waiting for this process to get "easy" and so far it hasn't! It'll be worth it in the end though.
