Bill, thats a mouthful! I think I need to stop beating a dead horse here, give up the Speed Density EFI, and just do the MAF SEFI conversion and be done with it. Or just live with what I have.
RITRUCKGUY (Bill Ciscar) has given me a MAS and new pins with pigtails. He also provided an excel spreadsheet that covers everything i need to re-pin or add to my truck for the MAF conversion. All I need is a computer, speed sensor and later model MAF style intake hose. After doing a MAF conversion, a whole new world of performance upgrades opens up to my 302.
Yes, I have a copy of his spreadsheet to. He currently lives in Suffolk, VA not too far away. I probably have an extra MAF intake setup, including one for a van. Archion was planning on doing a 351/4R70W conversion on his 86 F-150, but after looking everything over, bought an 02 Excursion to tow his trailer with. Between his collection and mine we might have what you need.

Really? Well, send me a private message and tell me how much you want for the intake. I also need the speed sensor, two O2 sensors, and the A9P ECU. I will get the o2 sensors from the parts store, but the speed sensor and ECU I will need in addition to the intake tube. I guess I could retrofit my stock intake for the MAF conversion, but that stock intake is hideous and looks restrictive.
Actually, Ray, the location the air picks up from is used on the later trucks until at least 91, and maybe newer on the 460. If you have cruise, you have a speed sensor. BTW, where did you come up with DA1? I could find a number of XDA1 and a D1A EEC but no DA1.
Ray - If you and Bill can figure out what he has that you want, and then if he can get it up to his son Matt/Archion then maybe it'll find it's way to a shop near you. That's 'cause I'm planning to stop by Matt's place, probably on the way home, so will have an empty bed.

I do not have cruise control. Ive got the base work truck. I think the only options it had was an automatic, a/c, and the v8. My trucks intake tube runs up to the radiator core support. There are a couple round connections in that tube I could adapt to the MAS. So, I know for sure I need the speed sensor, A9P ECU, two new O2 sensors, and possibly the intake tube. There is an article on the web where someone took a 87+ SD truck and did the MAF conversion on. Its called the "big Ugly Work Truck" project. They recommend using a later model 300 6 intake tube as it already has a spot to clamp on the MAS.

Ok Gary, lets see if they have anything I need and maybe we can work something out. I appreciate it!

Reason: added link to DA1
I have an AOD2 EEC from a 1990 Lincoln Town Car that was 302 and AOD. It is SD SEFI and also uses 2 heated O2 sensors. For the speed sensor, on the Lincoln and my truck it is at the speedometer drive where it enters the transmission. Look at the pictures of my MAF system, it pulls air from the same left side of radiator, but the air filter is on the inner fender.

If I am going to upgrade my FI system I am going to go with the Mass Air. A SEFI Speed Density may be a step-up from what I have though, and may be more affordable. But won't allow me to do anymore performance upgrades like I am wanting to do. I know where the speed sensor goes. I need to correct my speedo gear before I install the sensor though.
And I'll figure out the delivery charge. Let's see, at 14 MPG and ~1200 miles...... Oh wait, I'm going anyway.
Seriously, I'm currently looking at starting back on the 4th of March, and that's the day I'd stop in to see you, Matt. Looks like about 3 hours from DE, so probably around 11 AM. But, I'll let you know closer to time.
