Headlight discussion

I couldn't find a thread on aftermarket headlights so hopefully this isn't a duplicate one.

I am a bit picky about the pattern that my headlights project. At the same time I am sometimes embarrassingly compulsive. I don't like the 2000 headlamp buckets.
I am compelled to purchase the 05' buckets but they are more than I would like to pay and they still take the same bulb as the 00'. I would like to have some that meet DOT and that take two or more bulbs. I've seen some that show they are projectors, but they have a terrible pattern looking like a cheap aa battery flashlight.

Maybe there are some buckets for the X that would accept the 7" round headlights as there are some really nice options there.

Pardon the vulgarity, but these make my leg shake...

Here are some I thought were pretty cool:

ALL lights are DOT legal. Just about any of them will look good

That pattern is just what I'm trying to avoid. At least they have a cut off though. I've seen them with out one and they don't seem safe. These have a great pattern and a ton of lumens. If you watch there is a comparisson to some others that are considered to be good.

I suppose as a last ditch effort I would settle for these. They should fit in the base model f250 headlight buckets.

Have you planned on how to protect them from road debris? I have a similar set, & at $165 per copy (& weeks of lead time), I want to ensure damage is minimized.

I put the cheap Ebay headlights in all three diesels and although they all had to be adjusted to fit the vehicle they look 10 times better than the original ones but they also are brighter.
