Folks...PLEASE SELL JOEY YOUR CORES! I'm going to have to wait until he gets one in, as I can't have my truck down for 1-2 weeks between pulling it on a weekend, shipping, repair, re-ship, and have a weekend to re-install.
As soon as I get up to my shop ill ship mine to him
Mark, if by some miracle I get a pile of cores in, I'll build you a replacement. But as of lately, they are coming in half the speed of new orders....
After you mentioned it was one of mine for the build, it dawned on me that the pin hole may be a drilled hole. Some of the remans from Ford have a drilled set screw/locking pin to hold the swash plate. That might be the issue. Although, it's a first for a leak. I have built hundreds with that reman set screw without issue. Just a thought.
Andy, love the Mill! Best machine in the shop! Now I need a Lathe.
Texas Chain Ring, nice thought. But most pump body's, other then New Bosch pumps are ALL used/Remans. Only way to get a new case/body, is buy a Bosch.
Even if a fix is attempted by Mark or any customer, as long as I'm aware of the issue, I will still warranty the product if something goes horribly wrong.
Now that's what you would call standing behind you work

You might have a talk with him. When I sent one in to him, he had it back much quicker than I expected. Had to change my weekend plans because I didn't expect to get it back so soon. (Then the darn thing wouldn't run right and I fought that for way too long trying to figure out what the problem was. Turned out to be a bad, brand new IPR)
Joey sent a new T500 that arrived Saturday. Better yet, he included a pre-printed return label to make the return a snap. I'm definitely going to pay him for the shipping both ways, even though he hasn't asked for it. I don't see why he should go out-of-pocket on that even under warranty.
Anyway, I began my R&R of the old with the new one. As usual, it took me 3 times longer than most of you gents to do this job...it took me Saturday afternoon/evening and then Sunday mid-day. About 10 hours when you include my fuel bowl rebuild, oil change, and garage / driveway clean up. Uggh. Even sadder...this was my third time to do an HPOP, so you'd think I'd be faster...but I digress. So far so good. Can't see any leaks anywhere and it fired up the first time. Wouldn't you know, I didn't have the 3/8" fuel line sleeve (have some on their way in the mail, ironically)...but thankfully Mueckster had a spare, and dropped one off for me. He's a good fellow to have around, don't ya think???
Here's a pic of the "culprit." I'll never know exactly why they'd drill, tap, and plug a hole there. I'm sure it can be re-tapped and plugged successfully, but on a round surface like that, you need to have the right equipment for sure.
