okay i have a 94 IDI Turbo and everytime i go through a puddle or snow or its raining my trans will go into limp mode. and i have had many problems so i am actually quiet known of common problems see so far i have replace TPS and MLPS along with the tach sensor and speed sensor from previous problems so i dont think its any of those. and ive also had the trans wiring harness out and cleaned and taped back up. along with the plug that goes into the trans replaced. now i was wondering what do y'all think could be the problem? MLPS plug maybe??? help please and thanks guys

 

"E4OD" and "problems" are synonymous.

Try running a fresh ground from frame to transmission housing.

 

you have a bare wire somewhere underneath the truck that is exposed to the elements. time to crawl under the truck and start looking. could also be one of the connectors on the trans that is not sealing anymore and letting water hit the terminals.

 

the MLPS connector was updated in '95 and all older plugs can now be updated to the newer style,to cure the very symptom your experiencing.very common tsb on this one.
