Hello everyone,
Just a few more days until my dream truck arrives at the dealer. I found out that the drivers who deliver the trucks are going on strike this saturday (not to start any rumors).
I have a question, when my truck arrives I have purchased a skyjacker 4" lift for it and will be installing 315/75/16s. I was told by the people who I bought the lift from that many users have a vibration and slight noise due to this configuration. Has anyone heard of this and is there a cure?

The vibration is caused by excessive angle on the u-joints(s) in the rear driveline. Shouldn't be a major issue with only 4" lift.
If you have a carrier bearing you can shim it down and reduce/eliminate the vibration.
The longer your truck is the less problem you will have with this and the easier it is to fix.
Mine is a cc lb so it has no vib with the carrier shim. If you get the single cab lb then I think you have no carrier bearing and no vibration to begin with. Post what the truck is and I'm sure myself or someone else can tell you what to expect.

Thanks Guys,
I will be getting a 250 cc sb 6.0. The people who I ordered the lift from told me it come with a carrier bering lowering kit (or some such thing) so sounds like I may be alright. Keep your fingers crossed it comes in today.
