looking for one of these, it has to be the one that points strait down, going on a 390 in a '64 galaxy 500. the one on it is cracked and I haven't been able to locate one anywhere near me so i thought I would tap into the FTE brotherhood and see if I can buy one from someone who has an extra.
Thanks
Bart
Looking at this oil filter housing??/ can you see or tell which is the HI and LOW side (INPUT & OUTPUT)I don't remember if the flow runs to the oil filter (center threaded side I'm thinking)or to the outside filter holes first??/ There's a pressure valve (Bi pass)that allows the oil to Pass through the engine in case of the oil filter has been plugged and it will only allow oil into the engine one way, So as in my case remote oil filter (Hoses coming off the engine going to the oil filter)if I was to remove the hose without marking them??/ and if I hooked them up backwards it would starve the engine of oil !! advise Steve

Reason: Forgot something
Steve......Usually the oil starts at the outside of the filter, to the inside and out.
Remember the oil pump is behind the front oil galley, so the rear most galley is the filter INPUT, then it comes out and goes up the front of the block.
