I am getting ready to put new tires on an old 88 F-150 4X4. It has the stock rims and tires at 235-75-15. My question is what is the largest size tire I can fit on the stock rims? In addition if I were to buy new rims and tires what would be a good size for the truck without lifting or making any modifications? This is just my hunting/playing vehicle. Thanks.
Do you happen to know what the stock rim with is on this truck, 7, 7.5, 8 etc.? I haven't measured yet, thought you may know ff the top of your head. Thanks.
It could be either 7.5" or 7". 7.5" will hold 32 11.5's and fit if you have a 4wd truck. If you have 7" wheels it will only hold a 31/10.5" tire. If you have a 2wd, you can't fit the 32's, you'll have to get the 31's.
Thank all of you for your help. Sorry for the **** poor spelling. How do the 11.5's look on the stock rims? Do they look like they belong on the truck? Just investigating all options, you guys have much more experience that I do. Again thanks for all your help.
