Need Part number info.

I am in the process of changing the rear in my 50 F1. I have a 70 F100
rear from the junk yard. It needs axle bearings and seals also a Pinion
seal. I think i have the right part numbers from past posts.
C9AZ-1225A for the bearings. EOTZ 1177C for the Seals. Please
correct me if they are not right. I've checked sizes they seem to
be right. But I can't check the size of the pinion seal. I'm taking it to a
shop to get the work done and have to take the parts too. If anybody
could help with the part number for this seal would be great also does it
need a crush bearing ?
Thanks

The following is assuming the 1970 F100 9" has a 9" ring gear, because some 1968/72 F100's came w/a 9" that has a 9 3/8" ring gear. With 5* exceptions, the parts do not interchange!

All these parts can be bought from autoparts stores, I doubt you'll find them at a Ford Dealer. Most autoparts stores haven't a single clue inre to Ford part numbers.

EOTZ-1S177-CA (replaced EOTZ-1177-C, C9AZ-1177-A & B7A-1177-A) .. 9" Axle Seal / 1957/83 F100 / 1966/86 Bronco / 1969/86 E100/150 / 1975/86 F150.

D8AZ-1225-C (replaced C9AZ-1225-A & C1SZ-1225-A & B) .. 9" Axle Ball Bearing-Large / 1961/83 F100 / 1966/86 Bronco / 1969/86 E100/150 / 1975/86 F150.

The bearing has a BIN (Bearing Industry Number) stamped on it. All you gotta do is take that number to any autoparts store to get the correct bearing.

B7A-4662-A .. 9" Crush Sleeve / All 1957/86.

E2TZ-4676-A (replaced D4AZ-4676-A, D1UZ-4676-A & C2AZ-4676-B) .. 9" Pinion Seal-3" O.D. x 1 13/16" I.D. / 1962/83 F100 / 1966/86 Bronco / 1969/86 E100/150 / 1975/86 F150.

* 9 vs 9 3/8 = ONLY 5 parts are the same: Housing gasket, pinion seal, pilot bearing retainer, one pinion bearing and cup. EVERYTHING else is different!

Note: Some 1974/79 9's came w/a tapered roller axle bearing/seal combination.

The above parts were also used in misc 9" Passenger Cars, but it would take me one hour to list all the applications.

Thank you so much for the numbers.
Actually according to the tag it is a 8.7 ring gear.
I believe all bearings and seals are the same.
Can a 8.7 ring and pinion be replaced with a 9 inch?
I don't see any after market ring and pinions that
are 8.7. Sorry for all the questions.
Thanks for the help.

Some I-6 F100's have a 9" w/a 8.7" ring gear. Pinion seal, axle bearings/seals are the same.

What is the code on the rear axle ID tag? There are two different types of differential bearings.

The bearings and cups will have BIN's stamped on them.

The parts are the same as listed in post 2. 8 3/4" and 9" ring gear use the same case.

This 9" has the newer (changed mid-year 1969) "slim line" differential bearings/cups, same thru 1986.

(2) C9AZ-4221-A .. Differential Bearing / Marked with BIN: LM102949

(2) C9AZ-4222-A .. Differential Bearing Cup / Marked with BIN: LM102910
