Loose steering wheel
Hi. Ive got a 1989 F150 4x4, 4.9L engine. It has tilt steering. The steering wheel is loose. Is there a simple way of tighten the steering wheel back down.

Loose steering wheel
I have an '88 with a tilt wheel and the whole wheel and upper column moved. There were three hex bolts by the dash I had to tighten. You will have to remove the trim piece that blends the column to the dash. It is a two piece trim (one on top and the other on the bottom) held together with 2 (or 4) screws from the bottom side. Once that is removed, a standard 90 degree allen wrench worked fine. Hope that helps.
