I noticed after I removed my intake manifold that half of my injector connectors had lost their lock levers. Talk about a flimsy connector design, although it could be brittle due to our extreme summer heat and lack of humidity year round.
Anyhow, has anyone used spot tie (very strong waxed string), safety wire, or something similar to secure them, or would you suggest replacing the broken ones? I just dread replacing them since they aren't necessarily that expensive, but it does add up. I've already spent way more on this repair than I planned and it just keeps adding up. Plus it doesn't help that when I get it back up and running I have to put new tires, ball joints, and shocks on my daily driver Nissan PU.

A zip tie has held one of mine on for months, no issues.
Well that seems kind of obvious now! Doesn't look like it's going anywhere either since you have it ran through where the lock lever used to be. I'll have to make sure I get some good quality ones though, I have a huge container of them that just snap when you tighten them since they've dried out just from being out in one of my feed sheds for a few years.
I used this part from NAPA: NAPA AUTO PARTS
It was easy to replace. I had broken 3 of them. Had to order but they had them in in a day.
Good luck,
Shawn

Wow----there seems to be two different versions of this ^^^ connector: NAPA AUTO PARTS
Only difference I can see if the lead colors but good to know there's an alternate part number.
I safety wired a connector for a cop about two years ago.
I might do the safety wire thing eventually since everything here in the desert that isn't made of out metal tends to dry up and fall apart. Even zip ties only last so long around here.
