99 Explorer vibration slight rough idle
I have a 99 explorer XLT with 42K miles, that has an intermittent vibration. It sounds as though it's right under the driver/passenger, perhaps it's the exhaust but unsure. There is also a slight rough idle as well, it might go up or down a few hundred RPM nothing dramatic. I read on goggle that this was a common problem and the issue is with the high pressure power steering hose, and that ford came out with a larger diameter hose that fixes this idle/vibration problem. I was wondering if anyone else here might have seen this issue and can give me some suggestions.

The vibration may be caused my a loose heat shield on the cat. converter. Haven't had it on my exp yet, but a friend had it happen on a 96 exp. The vibration would occur during acceleration between about 1500-2500 rpm.
