Ford tire valve

Probably should go in Super Duty forum, but this is the one I usually come to if I come to FTE.

Three of my four Aluminum wheel valve stems are seeping at the wheel seal. My local tire man did not have proper seals to replace these. Quick Lane wanted $20.00/per stem plus labor. "I said, No, thank you!"

I've found a resonable source for a complete stem, but does anyone know where to find just the the rubber seal. That's really all I need.

Thanks!

tire stems are you talking something like this? i would assume you would have to get the whole stem if so. do you have the dullie extionsons on the stems? i think labor would be like ~$15-$20 each where i work plus the stem, that's with taking tire off vehicle.

Have you tried local truck tire repair places? We have an international and a independant here in town.

What about where you live?

id like to assume that you or the local tire guy at least tried to snug up the nut to make sure that wouldn't stop the leak.....?

I'd think Napa would have the O ring, I know they have complete stems. Surprised a tire shop couldn't handle it.
