Yes any year will work, doesn't matter manual or auto

I am going to buy a Swamps moded IDM. When I talked to Swamps they said I could send in any year 99-03 IDM, it didn't matter. For there core it doesn't matter, but does it make a difference without mods? I don't know.

You should be good to go. I scraped a truck also and got the IDM and computer and all electronics I could grab. I couldn't pass it up. I just had to match the weight in scrap metal so it all cost me nothing ,except some scrap I had lying around in the barn. My IDM will be on the way to Swamps tomorrow.

The real-world gain for me was primarily felt in the throttle response. I would say that response time was cut in half or better. And while it's not something I would've ever noticed or payed attention to before the Modded IDM from Swamps, it was very noticeable afterwards. Also, the engine seems to ignite with greater authority. Keep in mind, it's not just the increase in voltage, but also an increase in frequency with the Swamps Modded IDM.
