The way I see it you have three options..
1) stock 350 springs used=cheapest
2) stock 350s with rsk for stock a bit more$
3) new v codes and pmr shackle kit....possible best ride =more money
It all just depends on budjet...either way you will need shocks, pitman arm
If you don't have the 350 pitman arm....rsk can have correct one bought at a discount...I'm broke so I understand .I used my stock springs and did the rsk and bilsteins.IF I had bought new springs and wanted the extra lift I would have tried SD springs.I did not want the lift (fit inside my garage door) and am there again...broke...married with children.just do what you can afford.
I can tell you from my experience ANY rsk will be better than the stock spring configuation...sd...I can NOT say...
And yes i know any RSK will be the best. But for now i need to save for 35s, i do plan on doing the 3 inch RSK for stock springs. And the shackle flip in the rear. For a 4inch lift.
I dont believe so. For some reason my truck only has 2 inch blocks. Anyone know why? Has the tow package. But the 3 inch rsk in the front and the 4.5 inch shackle flip in the rear and then take out my blocks. And just shim my axle. Thats the plan at least. It will be a 3 inch in the front 2.5 in the rear
I believe 250 should have 3" maybe somebody lowered the rear at some time to level the truck out a bit? Your biggest variable is the condition of the used springs and of course your rears.it may take some tweaking to get it exactly how you want it but you will get there....let us know how it works out! Pics or it didn't happen! Lol
Yeah i know. I will always get it the way i need it lol. But i will be posting picks in my Dana 60 rebuild thread along with me an Rob doing a detailed right up of how to do it. And different options people have. And where to buy what parts. Seeing as i am a total of $1050 into my rebuild. And In terms of lifting what options they have! All that good stuff. Should be pretty awesome
I dint realize you were doing away with the block.
just a FYI, anyone I have seen use the shackle reversal for the rear has had major issues. (driveline angle, axle shoved Forward and driveshaft jammed into the t-case)
