My temperature and compass display just died on me, I don't have an owners manual with the truck so I don't know if it's a fuse I need to replace or what I need to do to get it working again. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Likely an issue on the circuit board.
There are two surface mount resistors that come loose from solder migration. They normally run very hot with little cooling when closed up in that assembly.
You need to take the Bezel off, then the power plug, then remove the board.
These parts are close to the push bar you use to turn the display on and off so it makes them come loose of the circuit board.
You need a 25 watt hand iron and some small Resin core solder.
All available at a Radio Shack.
Good luck.
