2002 f-350 7.3 electrical problem please help
hey yall, this is my first post here on this forum, hoping to pick yalls brains a little bit. I have a 2002 f350 and just replaced both alternators with DC Power 190 amp alternators. my batteries are about 4 months old. The truck has given me problems for the last few months with starting as far as not having anough volts to turn over truck in morning every now and then. Alternators went out a month ago and replaced them. With stock 110 amp alternators the most voltage id ever see was like 13 when cruising and most of the time stayed around 12.5. Now with the 190 amp they read abt 14. But now to my question. Right when i start the truck in the morning the volts go right up to 14 at idle. The more i drive the truck, say after abt 10-15 minutes or so, my volts drop to 13.5 sometimes to 13 even when my radio and heat is off. I know this is odd as i would expect the voltage to go up when cruising around 2000 rpm's. So, any thoughts as to why im losing amperage? i know it could be a number of things, maybe a short in a wire somewhere, ust looking to see if someone might could point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated!!!

you have 2 alternators? Please check both pigtails at the alts. I had to cut and splice new alt pigtail. I have not had any problems with trucks batteries or alts since.
The issue is the two wires backing off the voltage regulator connections causing the alt to not charge the batteries.
if you have any questions, feel free to IM me
