So guess what? Popped the hood, grabbed a light and looked back at my stancor GPR, and it was cracked. A quick turn of the wrench and now the truck obeys the ignition. Thanks, guys, i would have never figured that out without you!
A shorted GPR can and will cause it not to shout off.
Dissconect the gpr and see what happens

It's my understanding that to shut down a diesel, you have to remove fuel, so in this case, the fuel is still being injected into the cyl's. Would a shorted glow plug relay back feed current to whatever shuts off the fuel?

The gpr can internally short and back feed 12v to the fuse box keeping the PCM alive. I had it happen to me.
