Longtime FTE member, putting my name in the hat for the Texas chapter. Any get togethers or such? Cold beer? Brisket? Truck is in signature. Glad to be back in this great state.
Hey guys, anyone want to jumpstart this Texas chapter? I'll send some individual PMs as well. I thought we might want to have a club project, one we could all pitch in and work on, then sell and buy another one, and another. I have vehicles now that I could donate as the first car. None have major drivetrain issues and shouldn't cost much in parts to fix. Just labor. And expertise. What I don't have is a shop to work on the trucks. I know we have a lot of top 6.0L talent here from Texas, and I have a couple of those. I also have a '92 F250 7.3L flatbed that needs cosmetic work as well. Any one of those trucks would sell for enough, if running, to pay for another, nicer project truck.
From my perspective, it's easy. I have others besides these to get working. And, I'm a tired old man. I can still pull my own weight, but all this is more than I weigh. These trucks have been sitting too long. I need them gone from my driveway, lol.
What I'm looking for is at least 3-4 guys willing to dive in to figure out/fix the truck, and someone with a shop, BBQ, and refrig, or room to put them. I'd guess all three would sell for at least $8000 if running good.
