How about your transfer case?

Run Motorcraft Mercon V in trans and transfer case. John Wood built my trans and that's what he recommends as does Mark K. a Ford trans engineer! (by the way Mark, after hearing your input on the bypass I installed my bypass on my JW trans when I put it in)

As far as power steering, I used Redline Syn MercV only because that was the only brand syn I could find when my PS hose blew in a hotel parking lot in the middle of Los Angeles

I've often recommended MERCON V, but I don't ever remember recommending Motorcraft brand. It's not bad fluid, but it isn't any better than any other MERCON V.

Sorry Mark, wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, I meant more along the lines of regular Merc V over synthetic.

Edit: only reason I buy the motorcraft is because it's the cheapest for me... It's good to have friends with dealer connectioons!
