At the very beginning of your video, you have a clear shot of the front wheel. Note the gap in the ring. That is a lock ring wheel.

The rings on the rear duals face each other inside the duals. Look for a similar gap in the ring.

Look at the pics in post 5 here:

Those are split ring rims, much better that split rims. The inside of the rims you have are smooth. If you have one that has a big ridge in the inside of the rim, and no ring like that, you have a split rim. If you need an actual photo, we have some that are on an old hay trailer.

Awesome truck, serious. Like has been said, the wheels we can see are lock ring style but you'll want to check the other side and inner duals to be sure no WMs are hiding. Stu

I was told that there is a 312 y motor in it and a 5 speed tanny with a two speed rear end. I m going to get the build #s off the block and check to make sure it is a 312 and not a 292

I know Ford used "rubber band drive" in the '60s. I wonder if this was a rubber band drive set up?

Belt drive tandem axles

Hhhhm, and older set up used on heavier trucks than I thought. From the looks of the inside of you duals, if this ever did have the rubber band, it is long gone as there is no wear showing on the wheels.

Hhhmmm, looks like they had a pully set up, not just the belt running on the wheels.....

I see several references to "Page and Page", but can't find anything on them--too old and obscure I guess. The video shows "Truck Equipment Co Buffalo NY" on the rear suspension.

Anyway I think I answered my own question. Probably not a rubber band drive.

I believe that the tag axle was never used for a drive axle , it was put on to help with the weight only . I was told the truck was used to move magazines from a train car in downtown Los Angeles 6 blocks to a wear house .
