I need help before I can order new center link with confidence. As the truck is parted together from different parts, then I want to know how to make sure I get the right part.
Center link is threaded in one end, and has ball joint in the other end, catalogue says 34" long. I need it for a truck that has 1980VIN and frame, but probably newer axles I believe 87-90 axles. It is 4x4 F250. Catalogue says there is a change in 1985. Is that important change, or is it still interchangeable? How do I make sure wether it is newer or older? Is it different in 2wd and 4wd trucks? Thanks.
Not sure what the difference is. If you get it from a local parts house you could return it if it's not the right one. It may be a length issue, thread size difference, etc.
