The last T-stat I got at Ford was $30.00 and that was with a new housing and gasket.
If the coolant has been in for a while you should flush it. If the deltas come back
good then just a flush without any chemicals.
Do come on over to the 6.0 forum and we can get into details on when, how and why
of flushing. The SGII like I said is a very handy tool that you can leave plugged into
the ODB2 port and have it read things like temp and oil temp and get good numbers.
