Water temp problems
I have a 1987 f150 it was recently rebuilt and I put aftermarket sensors on it and the gauges were reading fine until I had to replace the battery cables because it left me sitting then both oil pressure and water temp were reading higher and someone suggested it might be the alternater o I check it and replaced that then I took the sensor out and test it wit a lighter and 2 seconds after a lit it the gauge was topped out as soon as I took it off it went back down to the bottom so I replaced the sensor and drove it less than a 1/2 mile and the gauge went way above its top mark at 250 does anyone know what might be causing that to happen?
