I bought my van new in July of 07. It has been very dependable. I haven't made any performance modifications other than shocks, air filter, and a 5-Star tune. I added the front hitch, and a few other things. I always try to avoid drilling holes in the dash or any where else for that matter.
So far I replaced the track bar bushings at about 65000, replaced the steering stabilizers at the same time. One set of brake pads around 60k, oil changes, I replaced the side rail battery last year, and the starting battery last month. I replaced two taillight bulbs. The BFG's are 18 months old now.
That's it! The biggest cost of ownership is gas. I get about 285 miles between fill-ups on "31" gallons.
Looks like this right now.

I have been driving the van less since I bought the M3.
I think you should sell that van as soon as possible, the fuel mileage is killing you. Tell you what, I'll take it off your hands cheap. That way you can drive the M3 every day. Where do I pick it up?

I just love an altruistic guy without a personal gain in mind!
Yeah I bet the M3 is a ball to drive but still not the same as a big E350 pulled by a V10! If it goes away you'd miss it................
You've done all the right things so far with the 5 Star Tune----I've read nothing but glowing reports of it in general and Mike's commitment to customer service most of all.

Eenie meenie miney moe! It's a hard decision which one to drive sometimes.

Would think 9 MPG V10 4X4 Gas Guzzlers lost a much of their popularity since 2007 & The Great Recession & took quite a hit in value?
However, at today's local gas price of $3.529 for regular, those 75000 miles would cost nearly $30,000!
It's surprising how well it has held it's resale value.

I know the gas light comes on when I've consumed 28gal..
Quigley shortens the fuel tank to accommodate the transfer case which reduces the capacity from 35 to 31 gallons.

They are both great fun. The M3 is fleet-a-foot, and the van is a lumbering monstrosity. Like driving a 4 story building from the 3rd floor window.

Indeed nice looking E350!
Thanks! Yes, 5-Star is one of the best experiences I've had with aftermarket anything.
