What year steering columns are interchangeable without modification?
I have a 1967 F250 Camper Special with a cruise o matic tranny, the steering column needs virtually every part to repair it to original and working condition. I was wondering what years are compatible with my truck so I can possibly just swap it out. Thanks
The upper/lower steering column bearings (C3DZ-3517-A) and sleeves (B1AZ-3518-A) are available from Ford as is the shift collar (D5TZ-7228-A).
The rubber bushing and insulator (C5TZ-7343-A kit) located on the selector lever at the bottom of the column under the hood is obsolete. 100's availabe NOS
Without P/S, I haven't found the most basic element...the shifter arm. I've seen several shifter arm ***** but not the arm itself. Any ideas?
What finish does the lever have now, painted or chrome? I think the original was painted (parts catalog doen't say). The **** was black originally.
D3TZ-7210-C (replaced C5TZ-7210-W & C9TZ-7210-F) .. Chrome A/T Shift Lever w/Plastic Chrome **** / Obsolete ~ 17 available NOS (6: Don Sanderson Ford in Glendale AZ - 623-842-8643).
Applications: 1973/77 F100/350 & Bronco / Service Part Replacement: 1965/68 F100/350 & 1969/72 F100/350.
I couldn't find the C5TZ-7210-W original or C9TZ-7210-F. So you'll have to use the chrome lever and you may have one now, as the original was replaced in 1969, then again in 1973.
