'95 f350 7.3 turbo diesel stalls at low rpm usually when you slow down to make a turn. Hard to crank back up unless you give it alot of fuel. When it did crank back up ran rough would'nt stay running at idle kept dying. This is the first time this happened to me, but my girlfriend said it happened to her a few times recently. Also noticed a hesitation kinda like a hiccup while trying to get it back home. Not sure where to start. Really would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

Usually after driving it . Drove it yesterday morning ran fine then went out to dinner made a stop at a store when slowing down to turn in lot just stopped running . Got it started pulled into a parking spot. Ran into store for about 10 minutes. Truck would not start. After bout 10 minutes got it to start but was running rough. Had to keep rpm up to keep from dying. Got it home and it was idling fine. Was going to change fuel filter today thinking got some trash. But not sure if that is the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Check the oil level and the fuel pressure at idle. You're looking for something around 60 PSI and you can check it at the schrader valve on the side of the fuel bowl using a cheap tire gauge. Just be sure to put some rags in there so you don't get a #2 diesel shower, lol.
Oil level is good haven't been able to check fuel pressure yet but if it was a fuel pressure problem wouldn't it be a consistent problem. There's no rhyme or reason to why this truck is dying. Somtimes runs perfectly fine then the next time you drive it it will just die. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
