i have a 97 mazda b4000. i broke the head of the bleed screw off on the slave cylinder and i need to change my master cylinder. is there a way to bleed the clutch without using that bleed screw? or can i get away with just bench bleeding the master cylinder and hoping no air gets in the slave when i disconnect and reconnect the line.
i dont realy want to drop the tranny to get at the slave and dig the bleed screw out, since i just changed the slave a few months ago and it was a big pain.

You might unhook the line at the master and bench bleed it, before you hook it back up, make sure the line is full of fluid.
ya thats what i ended up doing. but i think some air got in when i reconnected it.
at least i got a somewhat working clutch now. i might try a vacuum pump at work and see if i can suck the air out the top.

this slave/master design is one of the worst-if you can get the clip off of the pedal assy part of the master,(you have to remove clutch safety switch and pedal) just pull ever so slightly out on rod, and the air should be gone, gently push in, put clip back on, and reassemble pedal switch and reattach pedal...
