i just called redhead gear today and ordered 2 steering boxes for my f350 s/c and the f250 hotrod at $500 a pop with core charge and shipping not cheap but if that what it takes to get these trucks to steer right then it is what it is i just installed a box i got from my brother in law that only had 30.000 original km on to the reg/silver s/c lariat and the difference was un real!! coupled with the new copper exaust gaskets and rade arm bushings its the nicest driving truck i have right now nice to go down the highway straight with out fighting the steering!! i will advise when i get them installed how they feel but listening to all the people in this forum with nothing good to say about redhead its got to be good!!
yes when you consider its 85 for the core charge and 135 to send them back from alberta to seattle plus i have tried 2 "rebuit" boxes from hydra steer in edmonton with no luck just got resealed boxes with the same problems these people are fixing what ford should have engineered into these boxes 30 years ago with the over sized bearings for the shaft to take up the play and loosness bottom bearing replacing the bushing ect i talked to the owner him self had some good questions and he answered them all this is the 1st improvment i have EVER seen for these things
