DC Power 185 Alternator install question - HELP!

I'm under the hood right now installing a DC Power 185 amp alternator.

The stock alt came with a three prong harness plug. The DC Power came with a 4 wire plug. However, both only have two wires. The remaining spots are blanks.

MY problem is the wires are different colors on the new harness. So I am clueless on how to splice it in. It came with zero paperwork.

I bought it from Ed at FICMrepair. I've got a call into Ed but haven't heard back. I called DC Power but had to leave a message.

I'm hoping someone here knows the answer.

Got through to DC Power finally. For anyone else that runs into this...

They said the yellow wire goes to the stock green wire. The blue wire goes to the stud on the alternator.

Hopefully it works.

Nope. Stock 6.0. I called them and they said they could tell me how to wire it or send me an adapter.

It wasn't difficult, but I thought it would plug in when I bought it I guess its not quite "OEM" like they said.

I thought only the SPX style DC alternators came with adapters, the OEM style should be plug-n-play.

Did DC change something about the OEM style?

Mine too was plug & play except running the upgraded cables. I found those pics & they are more of a side by side, original & new DC Power.

Apparently they changed things or sent me something other than I ordered. It took a damn month to get it too.

My 185 amp alternator was just delivered today and I also have an 04. I just opened it up and it also has a harness adapter. Came with instructions to cut off factory connector and splice in the new one. Maybe its just something with the 04s???
