What does PATS disable
All was well with my truck until I went to start it after 1 stop and it wouldn't crank over. I have plenty of battery power, no click at the starter when the key is turned. Does the PATS system diable the starter or the fuel pump? I am grabbing my extra key at the house and gonna try that but if it doesnt work amd just trying to get a few ideas. I tried tapping on the starter but didn't help- its like there is no power getting to it, I tried jumping the solenoid too- no luck

It depends on the year and model which you didn't give in your post.
In all vehicles, it disables the injectors. In certain vehicles, it also disables the starter.
If the THEFT light is fast-flashing during your starting attempt, its a PATS event. If the THEFT light goes out normally, it's NOT a PATS issue.

If it is a PATS issue, will the odometer got to -------- for a display when trying to start it?
You likely have a power problem for the PCM or the cluster or some other fault in the cluster. Check the PCM power fuse and the PCM Power Relay. Since PATS is resident in the cluster, the cluster must be operating correctly FIRST in order for PATS to subsequently enable operation.
