Backup Camera Pushbutton

I know there are discussions on how to do this but...I haven't seen a diagram and figured I'd share what I did.

Backup Camera On-Demand Button

I installed a new DVD head unit and backup camera and wanted to be able to look through the camera whenever I wanted. I decided to use a momentary pushbutton switch to feed power to the camera and head unit whenever I wanted to look out the rear camera. I wired power to the camera and head unit off of the reverse switch (Black/Pink wire). But, I also pulled fused power from an added terminal block. I installed a diode between the black/pink wire and where it goes to the head unit & backup camera. This keeps power from backfeeding into the reverse system.

Pictures are worth a thousand words:

Hope this can help somebody understand this process.

Nicely done.

What did you use to make that wiring diagram?
