Building my own cai with the wix filter, plan on moving the drivers side battery to the pass side so I can put the filter in its place and box it in for a true cai. Anyways what is the drivers side ground cable conected to it seems to just disapeer under the motor is there any good spot on the dpass side to conect it to?

Really you'd be doing alot of work for no gain at all as from that location you'd still just be sucking warm engine bay air in. If you want to do a proper CAI system what you should do is route a line to suck in air from the grill opening like some of the factory setups on these trucks or do the other better option the cowl intake setup. Go here and read this there is a discussion about this on page 2 with a link to testing done on this subject. Good luck man hope this helps.

thanks but thats not what im looking for, if i remove the drivers side batterey tray then theres a large area that will get fresh cold air from behing the head light and if i route a tube i can direct air from inside the bumper, i can get sheetmetal for free to box in the area easily and keep the hot air from the engine bay out
Make sure that you reinforce the pass battery mount, or build a new one that is mounted better and to more than just the fender. Dual batteries on one side has been done a thousand times, you do run the risk of putting to much weight on the fender and causing yourself some troubles down the road. Just do it smart and you'll be fine.
