Does anyone know if International is affiliated with Dorman parts? I recently picked up a couple of CPS's ( one grey and one black/dark blue? ) from the local IH dealer. All of the parts bins and racks behind the counter had the Dorman logo - paint job on them. Think that they were just the cabinets ( IE Snap-on, Craftsman ETC ) or are they a main source supplier for IH?

Yeah, from what I've heard about Clay not wanting to carry the Dorman uppies because they weren't up to par with the IH uppies, I'd guess they were not affiliated. Then again, maybe IH uses them for electronics parts... Idk
Dorman outsources most their items from the manufactures. That said there are items that they obviously have made, but from what I know, researched and been told that is not the case with most of their products.
Dorman is absolute trash in my opinion. Most companies like that auction the leftover/ parts that didnt meet spec. Example, batch 1 has a 5% fail rate of a batch sample. It does not meet their spec so they wholesale out batch 1 to the highest bidder and put the buyers name on it, duralast, master pro, etc. If they are made by dorman I'm sure there is much stricter specs to meet hence the higher cost. I just bought a motorcraft CPS (grey/blackish/purple) and its made in Mexico. Clay has compared that two uppies and other users have said they are too short causing the bolts to have to pull the pipes together adding stress on everything. Dorman has never been known for quality. That's why large chain stores will offer a lifetime warranty. They buy so many so cheap they only need to sell 1/2 to break even. I trust clay when he says " If I wouldn't put it on my truck I wouldn't sell it".
Thanks guys.
That is kind of what I thought, but with Dorman all over everything behind the counter I wasn't sure. The CPS's that I bought were "Hecho en Mexico" but in International boxes.
I guess they all are now?
