Need help with some ideas

I am going through the planning stages on the modifications I would like to make to my F-150 (see sig for details) and would like to discuss my plan...I want to get the Ford black tailights and headlights (like what come on the FX4) and paint the outside of the grille tuxedo black. I think the black accents would go very well with the black body and contrast nicely with the chrome package. I also would like to add 5.0 badges in the same location as the ecoboost badge on the doors. Does anyone have pics of an XLT with any of these?

I will also be getting 275-70-18s for tires. These will be a little beefier but not overkill. I do not plan on a leveling kit because I do not want the truck to sag with weight in the bed.

I will also like to get a split side dual exhaust (MBRP?) and maybe coil covers (that say "Powered by Ford") like on the mustangs. I dont know how/if that can be done easily. These will most likely be the last things done.

I want my truck to appear mostly stock but with subtle changes. Regardless I love the truck and couldn't be happier, especially with the 5.0! I will modify this thread or start a new one with pictures once I get going. Thanks for reading!

I have painted my grille tuxedo black and added a 5.0 badge to the lower right side of the tailgate where the flex fuel badge once was. Go have a look in my albums and you might get some ideas

How much trouble to remove the flexfuel badge? Is it adhesive or stud mount?

I want it off my tailgate....

Adhesive. Heat it with a blowdryer and use some fishing line to get it off

Thanks for the tips and your photos were helpful. I like the theme you have going on. The truck looks great! Hows the 5.0 handling the new tires?

nnero ... I also would like to add 5.0 badges in the same location as the ecoboost badge on the doors.
Opted to design and had-made the following decals ...

Other options you may want to consider ...

*After-market

*After-market

*2011+ Mustang

*NOTE: All are available on ebaY®

... coil covers (that say "Powered by Ford") like on the mustangs. I dont know how/if that can be done easily.
Easily done. May also want to consider the Mustang's engine cover ...

Some of the following pictures are in another of my threads too. This thread is for changes/modifications for this truck.

So far I have added 5.0 decals:

Please excuse the brush in the background, I hate it and am working on it.

And a bed divider I made for my 07 F150 and modified with some old belting to fit without a bedliner. Its quite handy. Oh and I also have the pop up stake pocket tie downs which are great. Ill put a picture of them on later:

I also have Ford rear wheel well liners. Which I will get pics of too.

By the end of the summer I will purchase 275/70 R18 Toyo Open Country AT2 tires. I am deciding on leveling/ lift kit. It will be 2" in the front and 1" in the back. One kit comes with an add-a-leaf and rear shocks (Tuff Country) and the other with blocks and no shocks (Auto Spring). Does anyone have experience with either of these kits?

I have decided to wait on the leveling but will probably still go with the one size larger (275/70 R18) tires. I hope the ride isnt greatly impacted by the 10 ply tires though. They do make a stock size (275/65 R18) LT 6 ply tire in what I want which are $30ish cheaper per tire. Im still not sure lol.

And for fun here are a few unrelated pics though all these things do compete with my time/$ with the F150:

Have you changed to the LT tire yet? If so any change in the ride?

I havent yet. After pricing the tire I want, I have decided to go with a LT275/65 18 in load range C. These are a little heavier than stock but not 10 ply, which I have no need for. I expect the ride to be a little stiffer. I really wanted a little bigger tire but I would rather use the money saved for something else besides gaining one inch in height.

I am going to buy them next month (Toyo Open Country AT 2), and have them mounted in the fall. Even though I hate the stock tires, I cant justify taking them off yet. They are fine for the summer. If I wait until fall, its a lot harder to find tires. I went through that with my last truck which had 18s.
