blend door issue!

Hi, So I just got a 06 f250 6.0 diesel ext cab. The truck does not have automatic temp control...any ways i noticed on the way home the heat would not work. I checked and the heater core is 160 degrees across it when I turn the heat on and mauelly operated the blend door and i got 140 degrees out of the vents. I figured it was the door actuator as it only moved a little bit in hot and cold direction. I bought a new actuator and have the same results. All of the wire's going to the actuator are good with .01 ohms with no shorts. When i hooked the new actuator up it worked perfectly fully going to the heat and cold side, then stopped and will only move a little to the left and right it will not fully close for the heat to work. Any help please? There is a white wire also that goes tothe actuator that i cant figure out, i assume its from the computer. Ohand i have been searching for two weeks now and there is no other postings i can find on this. Thanks for any help

On older trucks....that is an indication of a vacuum leak because the blend door vacuum actuated and the default position is defrost. Sure that white wire is not a vacuum line?

http://www.heatertreater.net/Ford%20F250.html ...... found this too.....

IMO you have a bad new actuator motor, it was installed incorrectly and or the blend door is binding or not sealing off completely? Gain visual access to the actuator. Check to insure you have full left to right travel. With the fan on high you should hear it seal in both directions. Also verify that the 12 o’clock
position on the temp **** lines up the mid-position arrows on the actuator? If 12 o’clock doesn’t line up the arrows you need to remove the actuator and re align it. Force the blend door to the mid position so it keys it into the actuator not the opposite. Before you re-install the motor test it with the temp ****. 12 o’clock on the temp **** should line up the arrows of the motor….make sense?
Try this and let us know if this solved the problem.

No the actuater was installed properly, but i dont know if the arrows are lined up. The one thing really confusing me is when i installed the new actuator it closed and opened properly one time, then not. I'll check the arrows tomorrow and hopefully its just not lined up properly.

ok I think I figured it out being the switch it self. I jumped the wires and found it goes full swing left and right. So I will replace and hope it fixes it lol. Thanks for the help.
