New Ford owner with old truck.

This is actually my 3rd Ford but my first F250 with a 460. I am going to restore it to a good driver. It is an 88 model with a dually kit. Where is the best place to buy parts like switches etc?

Oh yeah, I am also having a few problems with the tranny shifting funny from 1 to 2. Can some one tell me exactly where the vrv is on this thing? I replaced the modulator and it seems to help after I turned it in two turns. It stills seems to shutter going in. Any help would be great.

Is it a c6 trans.
You said modulator and two turns so that's what has me thinking c6.
If it still shudders and shifts bad, change the fluid.
You can adjust one band from the outside I think. READ before you adjust it though.
An oring could be bad in an actuator or servo causing an internal leak.

Yes it is a c6. The fluid looks good. The guy I bought it from rarely drove it. I am going to drive it a few miles and see if it starts shifting better. Can someone tell me where the vrv is? Do I need to be under the truck to adjust it.

In terms of switches, other parts, etc your local auto parts store should have most of what you need. Whatever you can't find there, you should be able to get from LMCtruck.com. They have pretty much every part of your truck you could think of. You could just about build a truck from their catalog. Some say the quality of their parts is suspect, but I've bought a ton of parts from them and never had a problem.
