Maybe this is just on my truck, but somehow I doubt it. While rotating my tires today, I noticed that the vacuum line for the IWE is rubbing against an additional spot. When I first got my truck, I noticed the line was rubbing against part of the steering knuckle. My fix was to add a small peice of poly tubing over the vacuum line. The point of contact that I noticed today has worn a notch into the tube that is probably half of the tubing wall thickness. Without doing something, it's just a matter of time before the vacuum line will leak and will cause the IWE to engage unexpectantly.
Thanx SVT...I will take look in the spring..my truck is a few years old and the might help prevent a permanent partial engagement as others have had.
My buddy had to replace whole hub...it was clicking away for a while.
I have had an issue with my trucks 4WD not disengaging at times. It seems to need a full right or left turn to completely disengage. I don't know if this could possibly be part of the problem, but I will look into it. I think I would try to pad the metal part, rather than the vacuum line.

Are you sure that is a vacuum line? It looks like the wheel speed sensor to me.
that's what I was thinking. I believe the vacuum line is the double line above and behind the one highlighted. I'll have to look at my wifes truck closer tonight.
