How loud will this be with duals out the back, 2.5 inch pipes and 3.5-4 inch tips? Will it be nice at idle, loud when i get on it, and noticable at cruising?
I have a 3in single in dual 2.25in out with 3X18 stainless tips with a hollowed out front cat and no rear cat. It is very throaty when you get on it. It is definately not quiet at idle, but has a real nice sound during acceleration. I have this setup on my 94 F150 with a 302.
I'm having this setup installed on Monday for $260. Does that sound right? Also i'm sure but if i take off the rear cat it will giveit better sound also right?(have to keep the front cat)
Most definately!! removing the rear cat will make a noticeablt difference in sound. I would suggest hollowing out the front cat and adding a single high flow cat where the old second cat was. Does the $260.00 include the muffler and tips? That sounds like a good price. Take care.
Yes the 260 dollars include everything parts & labor. I hope this will sound good. I'm sure it will.I'm thinkin for now i'm just gonna remove the rear cat and leave the front one alone will that cause any problems?
