I am consistently getting a page change, when I try to look at a post, that says page cannot be found. Yet, I can close that page and the requested page is there. This is an FTE message.
Yep, I've been getting a 'database error' message from time to time. Doesn't seem to be any particular thread or post. I can close and reopen browser (Chrome) to get back to the thread - most of the time...
All of them. There are times when it says database error (just about every morning, like for maintenance), and other times it says that page is not available. In the last few days, access to my own albums has been very sketchy and I have not posted the images in my replies that I wanted to. The database error has been going on for several weeks, but the album thing is new this week.
It's happened to me quite a bit. The OP isn't smoking anything either. It happens when opening any thread here and after a few seconds, a redirect happens to a page that doesn't exist. Hitting the [back] button in the browser takes one right back to the previous page and it may or may not happen again when trying to reopen the offending thread.
Clearing my internet history will help for a while, but then my cookies/temp files folder re-caches and then it happens again. Then again, opening any left-biased Yahoo "news" headlines locks up my browser too...... Oh, and Photobucket works great until it automatically redirects to something else and locks up my browser.
It's a conspiracy, and I'm not kidding. I'm NOT getting rid of my Firefox 3.x.xx either. Newer versions SUCK.
Thanks. The reason I asked if there was a specific page you were trying to view is that sometimes a video will get posted with the wrong embed code and that causes the same issue that you described. Since that's not the case, I'd imagine this has to do with the database problem we've all been seeing.
I am not having any of those issues. All I know is it takes for ever to load. Doesn't matter if it is IE or Chrome(Chrome a little faster). Never used to take this long. Same bandwidth as I used to have.
Oh yeah I hate the pop up ads on the mobile version. They block half of the post.
I have been getting the data base error quite often. I have the 7.3 forum direct link bookmarked and when I click on it, it will then give me the error. Some times for a few minutes....with Mozilla on DSL.
Edit....it did it to me with a 10 minutes of posting this.
i too am having all the same problems listed above. this is the only site that does this to me. i even ordered a faster internet package with no change.

You have some cookies/ (virus?) that is doing this. I the same issue, computer Department ran some scrubbers and now back up to normal speed.
Was getting 'data errors' also. Hope problem scrubbed out.
Yep, same here. I think mice are chewing the server wires or something. Might go a couple days fine, then get the error. Usually lasts less than a minute, sometimes up to two. I can normally still get to the home page and navigate back from there.
