Code 236 is getting old

I have 2 strokers 96 F350 and 97 F250 both 4x4 5 speeds Now my problem is they both are giving me this 236 turbo circuit code and not sure why? On the 96 I have rebuilt the turbo ebpv delete, new map sensor and hose, injector Orings, swapped out the auto with a 5 speed (With new pcm for 5 speed), straight exhaust, up pipes resealed, fuel pump (pressure is good), oil pump, GP's and relay, and probably more I have forgotten. On the F250 it is new to me so havent got to do to much. I have put 50k hard miles on the f350 with no problems but that code always returns, I can't get it figured out??? I was wondering if anyone else has problems with this code? Now I have not put new Orings on the ipr could that effect it possibly?
Oh I forgot to mention the F350 has given me that code with both pcm's.

My wag

Either your getting too much boost or your map sensor is going out -MAYBE

If its too much boost you may need to consider these sort of options

Ford Powerstroke MAP Dual Boost Relief Valve++ 7.3L 6.0L Boost fooler

it does it with both map sensor's new and old and it is all stock engine wise no chip. I do also live at approx 6000ft altitude could that have an effect?? and it is strange that both trucks do it?

That is a little odd that both are doing it.

Wonder if the Barometric sensors are the same.

Did you pull the exhaust back pressure tube and sensor?

I put a new back pressure sensor and cleaned the tube. it was giving me the 470 code and that fixed that. I haven't got to on the F250 yet but it also had the 470 code along with the 236 I am sure it needs the sensor. But since I did the ebpv delete on the F350 I think I'll swap 'em! I need to plug it into a scanner and see what it says about the barr. pressure. thats something I have not checked. I would like the code gone not just pretend its not there.

Well when the codes its using a inferred signal

Check your wiring there on the map and the connector pins good

brown/white
Lt gray/black
gray/red

Also 236 can mean you have leaks or lower pressure than expected

Your baro is under the dash near your left knee

edit add on
Hows your turbo looking?

Don't take this the wrong way Rock but did you read my original post?? Turbo is rebuilt up pipe sealed and not leaking.
I did clean the connection very good multiple times on the map sensor and replace it and the hose, checked the port into the manifold to be sure it's clean too.
But don't you find it strange that both my trucks are throwing the code??
The F250 only has 100k now my F350 on the other hand has 200k

Yeah dont take this wrong but read my post
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post12699742

I do find it odd

Thats why you may want to double check everything. ITs strange that both have it.

So it would seem like there may be a common element and the only one that makes sense is that there was work done there.

Wheres your port at for the hose to the map? Same place as original?

Maybe theres a common problem, something to consider. You know the arangement of the trucks better than you can describe so I would look at it from the point of whats common in the designs and install arrangements. Maybe that will make you get another idea.

IF you think everything is good then the last thing is to replace the PCM. But If you do my money is on the code coming back in.

I did replace the PCM when I converted it to a manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a quick question did you read my original post?????? Refering To Turbo rebuilt and now PCM being replaced
Yes both ports are in the same place, factory location.
I guess whats frusterating is I have been chasing this code for a long time and know what it is not!!! I don't want to start over on my new truck at the same point to gain nothing.

I have done alot of searching and it seems this is a common problem but no solutions?? Everybody's post I've found just ends with no real solution, except it's normal???? I don't think so, there has to be a fix, I hope?

Sure sounds like it could be a common simple element on either.

Hope you figure it out. Sounds like you know what its not so that should narrow your list.

Thats what I'm thinking? It does not effect performance so that is good. I am leaning toward barro. sensor or IAT sensor but wanted to pick your brains to see if that could even be a possibility?

Thanks for looking Rock. (I assume thats your name)
I'm Robert by the way
