Daily Drver Raptor

Was thinking of getting a second truck as a daily driver. Seems the Raptor with the super cab is a fairly short vehicle. The only full size truck I can fit in the garage. A regular 150 extended cab wont fit. Is the interior as roomy as the standard 150? How are they at carrying a 1000lbs or so? I have a bad hip and like the metal running boards. I had to custom install Ford plastic boards on my 12 F350 Lariat. How are they for daily driver? Do they have power with the 6.2. Guys don't like the motor in the super duty for not enough power for the big jobs.

They have the same room as the regular f150's. Great for carrying the weight you specified. Yes it is great as a daily driver. It rides like a Lexus. I particularly like the running boards because they are full and have non skid all over them. Your foot will never slide. Yes the Raptor 6.2 does great on the power. The raptor has more power than the superdutys. They come stock with a Ford racing cam and ford racing exhaust. Mine has been a great vehicle and love it to death. The only towing I have done is haul a few 4 wheelers on the trailer and cargo in the bed. Did flawless.

Sounds its a perfect fit for what your needs are. Especially the smooth ride with your hip.

Good Luck and keep us posted!

Oh just FYI towing max on an extended cab Raptor is 6000 pounds. If you get the crew cab it goes up to 8000 pounds.

My F150 Raptor Crew Cab has more room and is more comfortable than my 2012 Lariat Crew Cab Superduty.
If you decide to get a Raptor, you will really enjoy it. I hope all this helps.

It sounds as though you think the raptor super cab is shorter than a regular f150 super cab. They are not so if the regular truck won't fit in your garage then neither will the raptor.

I believe the bed on the raptor is a foot shorter than a standard short bed. It looks to be the same as a crew cab bed. Only the raptor is available in the super cab, 5 1/2 foot bed combination.
