1974 F100.Trying to get my factory radio working.Unplugged it's power supply from back of radio and tested for power and have no power.Fuses all look good.Am trying to determine: A) what fuse the radio is on ( i have original owners manual, and shows what every fuse runs, but says nothing about what fuse the radio is on )...and B) if fuses are ok,then why is there no power at radio plug in ? Am i missing something obvious,or is there a wee gremlin in my truck?
According to the 1974 wiring diagram, it should be protected by the same fuse as the wipers. Do the wipers work with the key in ACC or RUN? How are you checking the fuses? Fuses should only be checked by making sure you have power on both sides; visual inspection will not suffice. Can you describe how and exactly where you checked for power?

Thankyou for writing back.I found the problem yesterday in the ignition switch,so swapped it out,and everything is good now.Thankyou also for looking up which circuit the radio is on,i've been trying to get that one figured out for a while now,and have made good note of it.I would think that applies for all dent-sides? ....i have 3 others, and with those also,am unable to determine through fuse box markings/owners manuals which circuit radio is on.
Thankyou for the great help.
