Air-duct from Grill to Air Cleaner

Mine disintegrated years ago. I've not been able to find a replacement. Anyone know if it available, anywhere? I have a piece of dryer duct as a 'fix', but its an embarrassment. There must be something better than dryer duct?
I thought LMC truck had it, due to a picture of it on pg. 44 of the Ford manual, but they sell only the pre-heat duct.
Thanks

Ugh... I've looked this up before... IIRC there are something like 42 different variants listed in the parts book.

I need more info... make/model/year/engine in particular....

I'll do this tomorrow, it's almost bedtime.

BTW I don't display sigs and avatars, some people put tooooo much cruft in them.

When asking for help on the 'net, it has always been considered good netiquette to include the details of what you're looking for in the body of your message, even if it's redundant with what's in your sig. Make it as easy as possible for others to help you....

The FoMoCo 1980/89 Light Truck Master Parts Catalog available on hipoparts.com says you want:

D7UZ-9A626-B DUCT and VALVE ASSY. (CARBURETOR AIR CLEANER AIR)
Marked as D7UE 9D626-AA or -CA, used on many light-duty trucks & vans 1980/86 with the 300 cid engine

But I can't find it at any NOS vendors... it could be that the part number was superseded, or it could be there are simply no more available and you'll need to improvise.

I shall ask The Mastah to check for a replacement part number if he has time.

No one has any, will ask the Mastah for assistance (as usual ) to see if the part number was replaced.
Mastah sez:

D7UZ-9A626-A (can be used in lieu of D7UZ-9A626-B) =

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 4 = 800-543-4959.

DON SANDERSON FORD in Glendale AZ has 5 = 623-842-8762.
-----------------------------------------------------------
There's another: EOPZ-9A626-A used on 1980/86 F100/250's (under 8500 lbs. GVWR) for severe off road usage =

DON SANDERSON has 3 / GREEN SALES has 3.

HIGH BUCK! Bob "Snake" Allen has 3, but who cares since there's 9 available elsewhere!
Thank you, oh masterful one!

That be me.

But I don't display it or any other avatars (or sigs) when I'm logged in to FTE, this is a setting in the User CP.

When you call, make sure you're also getting the duct tube you're really looking for; the pictures in the parts book are a bit unclear concerning these assemblies and can be misleading or incomplete, so make sure of what they're offering you before giving money for it.

Reason I say is... it could also be that you want E0TZ-9C675-A which is a TUBE ASSY. (AIR CLEANER AIR INTAKE) and Green Sales, et. al. don't seem to have those BUT Wesley
Obsolete Parts LIBERTY, KY 42539 (606) 787-5293 says they have one.

Hope you (parr4) get this in time....

The book shows two possibilities, I have no idea which one you might need.

Could be E3TZ-9B676-B used on 1983/ 6.9 & 7.3 diesels and, once again, no NOS vendors seem to have any so you may have to improvise.

Or, it could be you need a 9C695 variant but I can't find that listed in the Text section of the catalog, I'd guess it's listed with some other component someplace else but I can't find it in any of the usual weird-*** places Ford sometimes sticks things.

Maybe Bill will stop by and help.

BTW please don't hijack somebody else's threads, best to create your own with the New Thread button () at the top of the forum.

BTW2 all this info is for stock, out-of-the-factory configurations. This will *probably* fit just fine with your 1992 engine, but there are no guarantees....

Well it's fixed and with a Ford part too. Accordian tubing that was used on older Mustangs. One end was round but a heat-gun fixed that. It was a little too long, but again the heat-gun fixed that too. $30 for the tube It beats the $95 cost for the OE piece!

I've been trying to track one of these down for my '86 4.9 and have had zero luck. Everyone seems to be out of the part so at this point I'm sort of giving up. What is the year and engine of the Mustang duct you used so I can see if I can go in that direction instead? Thanks for your help.
