I would start by checking the VIN, was it originally a CA truck, go by and talk to a SMALL smog shop, tell him what ya got and the VIN, and he can look it up, see what it is supposed to have and get you headed in the right direction... My 77 F150 4x only has EGR, no CAT, so you could get lucky, I would do some research before you start putting everything on it.

I have a full smog setup, including a good cat, that I pulled off my '79 F250. Granted, it's a 460 so you might have to find 351 brackets for it. I'd be happy to sell it to you/him
